Last May, the VR46 Master Camp welcomed for the second time the bLU cRU drivers from the WorldSSP 300, including the Frenchman Andy Verdoïa, to participate in the seventh edition of this event in which all young drivers dream of one day taking part. As the Misano Grand Prix approaches, five new privileged young people from the other side of the world have been chosen to be part of the new edition of the Master Camp which will be held one week before the race weekend.

Indeed, from September 4 to 8, its eighth edition will take place. Young Yamaha riders selected by Valentino Rossi and Yamaha will travel to Tavullia, the hometown of “Dottore”, to carry out complete training alongside the riders of the VR46 Riders Academy… but not only that! Marco Belli, three-time champion of England as well as double champion of America and Europe in Flat Track, the fitness trainer Carlo Casabianca, the legendary Italian surfer Alessandro Marcianò, and many other sports experts will complete their training.

« The eighth edition of the Master Camp is approaching! The content of the program has been modified compared to the previous edition, after comments from former participants and consultation with all the experts who contributed to the organization of this event. I believe the latest edition was one of the most successful to date, which gives extra motivation to me, the Academy drivers and the Master Camp staff Says Valentino Rossi.

The five participants of this new edition come from the regions of Southeast Asia and North America. They were chosen based on their age, their talents as well as their position in the ranking of their championship. This group of drivers includes Jake LeClair (Canada)Sawapol Nillapong (Thailand), Suttipat Patchareetorn (Thailand), Muhammad Alif Ash Tah Bin Tahiruddin (Malaysia) et McKinley Kyle Paz (Philippines).

« We are very happy to observe the level of these drivers, because we have heard positive things about them. Honestly, we will make them work hard and they will be tired after each day, but I am sure they will enjoy every moment of it, because the program is full of fun activities » adds the nine-time world champion.

The planned program offers young Master Camp drivers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with on-road and off-road racing disciplines in order to acquire basic techniques. Participants will then put their new skills to the test during various activities, in which pilots from the VR46 Academy will participate. The goal is to learn from each other. In addition to training at Fisio Gym, they will ride Yamaha YZ250Fs and YZ125s at the Motor Ranch in Valentino Rossi on the Flat Track track, YZF-R3s on the Misano World Marco Simoncelli circuit and MiniGP YZ85s at Galliano Park.

« On-track and off-track lessons will be very important for newcomers, to help them in their racing career. The VR46 Academy will guide them through each session. I hope the new students will surpass themselves and I look forward to seeing their progress and the results after a week of work at the Master Camp » concludes Valentino.
