This week, Yamaha pulled out all the stops by organizing the first bLU cRU CAMP in Europe from July 3 to 6 at the Pôle Mécanique Alès!

Kezako?

Around thirty speed and motocross riders aged 10 to 17 took advantage of an educational and sporting course supervised by some of the biggest names in the Yamaha Racing universe.

Therefore, Johann Zarco, Jonas Folger et Hervé Poncharal (Monster Yamaha Tech 3), Lucas Mahias (GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP Team), the GMT94 Yamaha Official EWC Team, Enzo DeLaVega (GRT Racing Team), Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team), Arnaud Tonus (Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP Team) and Benoit Paturel (Kemea Yamaha Official MX2 Team), were some of the big names who took care of the lucky ones.

During tailor-made workshops, they shared their incomparable experience with a panel of young competitors eager for professionalism. Driving technique, mechanics, approach to the race, nutrition, physical preparation, communication, lifestyle… the workshops given during these four days covered different aspects of the competition in order to help future champions progress in their discipline without neglect any aspect. However, certain workshops, other than motorbikes, have particularly encouraged emulation and mutual aid within the group: no learning without conviviality!

Eric de Seynes, Vice President, Executive Director of Operations of Yamaha Motor Europe, Executive Director of Yamaha Motor Corporation: “It is common to say that the passion for racing, the competitive spirit and a certain “family” bond always unite those involved in competition at Yamaha. Beyond words, what counts are actions and this bLU cRU CAMP is the perfect illustration of this. Taking into account the expectations of young amateur drivers, helping them to progress and allowing them to share the experience of their elders, themselves world champions, is an approach that is unique for a manufacturer but both obvious and natural for Yamaha. Sharing this experience is always very profitable and exciting for all participants, whatever their levels. »

Thanks to countless activities, on and off the track, the week was unforgettable for the selected Tanel BAJEUX, Tony BALLOT, Thibault BENISTANT, Vincent BERNY, Esteban BERTOLONE, Tom BOCHET, Antoine BONNARD, Alan BOUSSARD, Valentin BRULEY, Johann CHAPON , Dorian DA-RÉ, Colin DRYE, Hugo GIRARDET, Maxime GRAU, Florian HANGARD, Robin HOSSEY, Enzo JIRACEK, Louis LAGRIVE, Vincent MARTY, Kenzy MASSICOT, Mathias MICHAUD, Roméo MICHAUD, Loïc MILLET, Pierre MOINE, Alan MUEL, Hugo ROBERT , Alexis VARET, Lucien VAUDRY and Arthur VIAL.

And the reward of these 4 days, where everyone was able to progress by benefiting from the teachings of the best experts, took place on the last day, when Johann Zarco himself came to visit these seeds of champions, even going so far as to use a Yamaha R1 in Tech3 colors to take to the track alongside them.

What's better for emulation?

With the actions carried out by the FFMBy ZF Grand Prix and now by Yamaha , it is undeniable that initiatives have multiplied in recent years, and this can only be beneficial to the motorcycle sport that we love so much! And the effect is further multiplied with a French headliner in MotoGP…
