Bradley Smith was therefore one of the attractions this weekend on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, as part of the Bikers' Classics.

He was surrounded by the staff of Tech3 Classic who had found him a Yamaha ROC YZR-500, a machine both reliable and powerful, also already seen in the hands of Freddie spencer when Sunday Ride Classic 2014.

The British driver therefore played the game of this media-sporting operation and went to Belgium accompanied, as always, by his father, as well as an assistant. A trip that started off rather badly with a canceled flight…

Unlike a Grand Prix, this type of event allows the public to approach its stars without any barrier other than that of education, so Bradley Smith willingly lent himself to the countless requests for signings.

When the 4-cylinder Yamaha first started up, a smile appeared on his face and his eyes sparkled, at least for a few moments, before he looked back at his inseparable smartphone.

The first session was made complicated by very small showers which brought Guy Coulon and Laurent Ducloyer to wonder then to make several wheel changes, between slicks and rain tires. Finally, it was with the latter that number 38 left to familiarize himself with a 500 2-stroke for the first time in his life, cautiously but nevertheless faster than the rest of the field.

The afternoon and a fleeting sun provided the opportunity to use the slicks and, for Bradley Smith, from his own mouth, to better understand why there were so many highsides in those years...

In the end, the Tech3 driver was quite pleased with his day and declared himself ready to do it again.
