The information comes from journalist Antonio Russo for the site Tutomotoriweb : after trying the Ferrari 488 Pista in Fiorano, Valentino Rossi went to the Mugello circuit yesterday to meet the members of his VR46 Riders Academy.

Apparently, the Yamaha rider would not have remained idle watching these but would have put on the leather to stretch his legs on the handlebars of his Yamaha R1 M.

Of course, there is no data on this test day and it is not the first time that Valentino Rossi has taken to the track with a Yamaha derived from the series. This usually happens to him on Thursday at Misano, but we can assume, since the Mugello circuit belongs to Ferrari, that this is a favor granted by the Maranello firm.

Riding the spearhead of the Iwata firm is the only solution to be able to train without it being taken into account for the 5 days of private testing authorized each season.

The video below illustrates this day, even if the helmet does not correspond to any decoration this year…
