The MotoGP rookie will ride the Panigale V4 S to replace Chaz Davies, injured during training.
Last minute change for the team called to participate in the “Race of Champions” during World Ducati Week 2018: Chaz Davies was injured in training and will not be able to be present. It will be replaced by Xavier Simeon, MotoGP rider and representative of the Reale Avintia Racing team. The event will take place on Saturday July 21 at 13 p.m. on the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”.
Chaz Davies, rider of Team Aruba.it Racing – Ducati, was injured on Tuesday during mountain bike training. He fractured his right collarbone, preventing him from participating in the race on the Panigale V4 S. Despite the accident, Davies confirmed that he will still be present on Saturday and Sunday at World Ducati Week 2018, ready to meet fans and enthusiasts, but he will not be able to race and the team of 12 riders will be completed by the Belgian MotoGP rookie.
The special livery of the Panigale V4 S (see photo), with which Xavier Siméon will ride, brings to thirteen the total number of motorcycles produced for the occasion with graphics dedicated to each of the riders. All the motorcycles can be acquired by enthusiasts and fans through a public sale on eBay, including the Panigale V4 S made for Davies with the livery of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati SBK team and personalized with the number 7 which, unfortunately, will not take part in the race.
The auction will start on eBay from Saturday July 21 at 18 p.m. and end on Saturday July 28 at 18 p.m. eBay, one of the largest and most dynamic online marketplaces, has dedicated a Ducati “Race of Champions” store for this special sale.
