The final round of the season will take place in South East Asia, at the newly constructed Mandalika track.

It's a wait of almost a quarter of a century that will come to an end for Indonesia, with the return of the Superbike World Championship to Southeast Asia, on the Mandalika circuit. The result of three years of preparation, the Mandalika International Street Circuit is finally ready to host the competition, from November 2021.

Indonesia will thus host the very last round of the championship, which will take place more precisely on the island of Lombok. The event was initially scheduled for the weekend of November 12-14, but the decision was made to postpone it by a week.

No clash with MotoGP

A good deal for the organizers, who will thus be able to perfect their logistics, while hosting the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup in mid-November, which will constitute welcome rehearsals before the arrival of the Superbike. Furthermore, this change of program will make it possible to avoid the conflict of dates with the MotoGP round, which will be held in Valencia on the weekend of November 12-14.

Indonesia had already hosted the Superbike in the past, between 1994 and 1997, on the Sentul circuit. The return of the category makes sense, while the popularity of motorcycle racing in South-East Asia can no longer be denied, proof of which is the success of the events contested in Malaysia and more recently in Thailand by the MotoGP.
