No more training with the mule, today was the big day of Franco Morbidelli's rally debut!

On the menu for the day, only one special test of 4,33 km called “Sottozero The Monza Legacy” to get into the swing of things, but that seems to have been enough for the MotoGP vice-world champion to get a taste for the discipline.

At the end of this mark-making, the Petronas driver appears in 56th position (out of 91 registered) in the general classification, after having conceded 37 seconds to Sébastien Ogier.

This may seem like a lot but in the end it doesn't matter: as has already been said, unlike Valentino Rossi in his days, Franco Morbidelli is not there to aim for victory but only to have fun. And it already seems to be successful…

Franco Morbidelli : “Monza Rally, first day. Wow ! I love rallying! Tomorrow, 3 more long and delicate stages await us! We're ready! »

On Friday, the first full day will consist of five stages on the circuit and the surrounding park. Two morning passages in Scorpion (13,43 km) will precede two runs in Cinturato (16,22 km) before the stage ends with PZero Grand Prix (10,31 km), contested at night.

A fifteen-minute service will follow each of the first four stages before a more traditional forty-five minute service at the end of the day. The stage will total 69,61 km of action.

Saturday, a real test of strength of the rally, snow could be there...
