Former 250cc, MotoGP and Moto2 rider Anthony West, who competed this year in the Supersport World Championship on the Kawasaki of the EAB Antwest Racing team, has just been suspended by the FIM for doping, following a test carried out in Misano on 8 July.

Currently 7th in the world championship, the Australian driver is not his first attempt since he had already been sanctioned in 2012 for the use of methylhexaneamine. A month of temporary layoff which then turned into an annulment of all his results for 18 months, between 2012 and 2013, by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) while he was riding Moto2.

This time again, it is for the use of a stimulant that Anthony West broke the regulations, and the driver who wears the #13 will therefore not participate in the Supersport round which is currently taking place at Portimao in Portugal.
