Following a doping problem, Australian rider Anthony West, who competed in 32 Grands Prix in MotoGP, 14 in 500 cc, 3 in Moto99 and 2 in 92 cc, had his license withdrawn.

He then went running Brazilian Superbike Championship, which is not affiliated with the FIM. But he subsequently had the unfortunate idea of attacking the International Federation, which then reacted without any ambiguity. West, who rode for Kawasaki in Brazil, lost the support of this manufacturer and retreated to his native southern lands.

Currently aged 38, Anthony drives a truck from time to time, and continues to participate in races where possible.

He notably raced last week, on Sunday December 22, with a Yamaha R1M on the Lakeside Raceway near Brisbane in Australia.

We also saw him in Taiwan (see photo below) on a GSX-R, and also in Buriram, but not in the ARRC (Asia Road Racing Championship) in which Broc Parkes participates.
