After the Superpole Race, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) started from pole position for this race 2 accompanied on the front row by Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (Turkish Puccetti Racing). Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was alongside Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Team) and his teammate Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Team) in second.
Loris Baz, who had withdrawn the day before due to a painful hand caused by a fall, fell again this Sunday during the first lap of the Superpole Race. Fortunately he was able to participate in Race 2.
At the start of Race 2, the air temperature was 22° and the ground temperature was 39°. The organizer announced 50 spectators for the weekend. The fastest to start was Johnny Rea ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu, Álvaro Bautista, Sandro Cortese, Alex Lowes and Michael van der Mark.

Behind Rea, Bautista took second position from Razgatlioglu. Davies snatched fifth place from van der Mark by sending him off the track (without touching him).

Rea opened up a gap of 1.1 over Bautista and Razgatlioglu, while Davies, van der Mark and Cortese fought at 2.4. Rea set the best time in the race in 1'38.227. Bautista was at 1.2 and Razgatlioglu at 1.7. Davies fourth was already 3 seconds ahead of Cortese, van der Mark and Lowes. Baz was brave seventeenth.

With 16 laps to go, Bautista regained the lead when Rea made a small mistake, just after setting a new best time in 1'38.152. Razgatlioglu in third was a little closer at 1.2, ahead of Davies at 1.7 and van der Mark at 4.6. Loris Baz moved to fifteenth.

Rea got back in front following a braking error by Bautista, and the two leaders were caught by Razgatlioglu at 1.4 and Davies at 1.8. Then Davies snatched third place from Razgatlioglu, which gave us two Ducatis against two Kawasakis.

Davies third attacked his teammate Bautista in difficulty, 2.3 behind Rea. The Briton overtook the Spaniard. Razgatlioglu fourth remained threatening compared to the two Panigale V4 Rs.

Razgatlioglu passed Bautista for third, when once again Álvaro had problems braking. Davies second, 2.4 behind Rea, tried to reduce the gap by setting the fastest lap in 1'38.034.
Meanwhile, Tati Mercado, who started nineteenth, continued his comeback and stole eighth place from Leon Haslam! It was madness in the Argentinian stands!

The podium seemed stabilized with Rea 2.5 ahead of Davies and 8.1 ahead of Razgatlioglu. Bautista fourth struggled at 10.1 against van der Mark. Loris Baz had moved up to thirteenth position.
Johnny Rea won comfortably ahead of Chaz Davies, Toprak Razgatlioglu, Michael van der Mark and Alex Lowes. Loris Baz had the great merit of finishing twelfth despite two violent falls this weekend.
