WSBK Argentina J3 Redding: “I prepared for war”

Scott Redding won the last race offered in Argentina by a Superbike category which offered a great spectacle. Redding had to offer a final bouquet to Ducati, and he succeeded. Rea had to defend his last chances at the championship and he succeeded. And Razgatlioglu had to consolidate his leadership position in order to give himself the best chance of winning the title in Indonesia and that is what he did. The fact remains that it is indeed Scott Redding who emerged victorious from this scrum of the last event in Argentina. Given the intensity of the battle, this success was complete and the Englishman shared his joy with an ecstatic Argentine public towards whom he threw his boots in the lap of honor...

Until the middle of the race, it was impossible to predict how this showdown would end, with positions constantly changing. But Redding was able to pull away and win after 21 laps with 2,4 seconds ahead of Sale. Soil was third, 3,8 seconds behind. “ I was ready and I was hungry ", commented Redding on speedweek. « Winning here is incredible ", states Redding. " I was close all weekend. Before the race, I told Jayce that I had to win. I didn't want to finish second and I had that mentality until the end of the race. Everything happens for a reason and nothing can be changed afterward. Of course, I would have liked to have had a chance at the championship before the races in Indonesia, but it worked against me in Argentina. I had two years less experience than the others, but that didn't stop me. For me it's about winning races now ».

In the second main race, Redding celebrated its twelfth victory, the seventh this year. Despite this, it now counts 66 points behind on Razgatlioglu in the world championship before the last three races in Indonesia in the third week of November, but only 62 to take.
