The Ducati representative will set off for new adventures with Honda in 2020, but for now he is preparing to complete his last race of the season, in Qatar.

The game is now set for the Championship, and Alvaro Bautista will conclude his first season in World Superbike with the title of vice-world champion. A more than satisfactory result despite the errors made and which bodes well for next season, which however promises to be quite vague.

The current Ducati rider will in fact join Honda, returning as a full-fledged manufacturer of its official team this year, and a big question mark therefore remains at the moment over the results that the Spaniard will be able to achieve with his new machine. He will discover it from the pre-season, but for now, it is time for him to carry out his last round with the Borgo Panigale brand and to say goodbye in the best possible way, after a difficult stage in Argentina .

“The races in Argentina were very difficult and I tried to finish with the best possible results, but I am a little disappointed because even in Race 2 we had the possibility to fight for victory”, he explained. “Now we just have to move forward, try and finish the season with a good result in what will unfortunately for me be my last race with the Aruba team and with Ducati. »

Unlike the last three tracks on the calendar which he did not know, Bautista will once again be able to benefit from his experience on that of Losail, on which he rode every season during all his years in MotoGP. He should therefore logically be one of the contenders for victory, and he is impatient at the idea of being able to compare: “It will be interesting to compare with MotoGP in Qatar, because it’s been over a year since I last rode on this track. Normally it was the first meeting of the season for me, this will be the last, but I am curious to see the differences between the two categories. »
