The Spanish rider is preparing to experience a complicated weekend in France for the last European Superbike round of the season, but remains motivated to try to counter his rival Kawasaki.

Alvaro Bautista arrives at Magny-Cours no less than 91 points behind Jonathan Rea, a very significant gap which now seems extremely difficult to counterbalance. However, just as he himself largely dominated in the first part of the season before seeing the relationship reverse, he is ready to give everything to leave as little as possible to his opponent in the remaining races.

However, the task promises to be difficult since the Ducati rider has never ridden on the French circuit, and he will therefore have to learn everything, when the Northern Irishman has already won there several times. The weather could also complicate the weekend, which will not help matters for Bautista, who will certainly not take risks in the rain due to his shoulder still recovering.

He still wanted to reassure about his physical condition by specifying that it would “much better compared to Portimão” and add: “so we will immediately see how I will feel once I enter the track. I don't think I will have any problems driving but it will be important for me to quickly become familiar with this new circuit by doing a lot of laps and memorizing the layout. »

Despite these factors which could work against him, he does not admit defeat and will give everything until the end to delay Rea's coronation: “The objective is to be competitive in the race to try to reduce the gap on Jonathan as much as possible. I'm ready to face this weekend, and I hope to enjoy this new track. »
