The Welshman has indeed had great success with Ducati during his career in World SBK and hopes to apply his experience to his new role. After announcing his retirement from the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, Chaz Davies will continue to be a key figure in the paddock and at Ducati by joining Aruba.it Racing – Ducati as Riders' Coach. Davies will work with WorldSBK riders, Alvaro Bautista et Michael Ruben Rinaldi, as well as with Nicholas Bulega, which will debut in WorldSSP in 2022.

Davies has achieved 89 of his 99 WorldSBK podiums with Ducati, the last at Estoril in 2021, as well as 28 victories and he finished in the top 3 of the championship five times. After a season with Team GoEleven in 2021, Davies has announced his retirement from the Championship as a driver but will return to the paddock in his new role with the team with which he has had so much success.

The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team will compete in both WorldSBK and WorldSSP this season. Davies will take the role of Riders' Coach in WorldSBK with the Spaniard Baptist, returning to the team after two seasons with Team HRC, and Rinaldi who remains with the team for the second consecutive season on the Ducati Panigale V4. In WorldSSP, there will only be one rider for whom the Welshman will be the Rider Coach since Open up will make his WorldSSP debut this season. Bulega has spent the last three seasons in Moto2 but will join the WorldSSP grid for 2022 on the Ducati Panigale V2, with the Bologna manufacturer returning to the Championship.
