It was during the third lap of Race 1 of the Superbike World Championship that a collective accident involved Leon Camier (Honda), Jordi Torres (MV Agusta) and Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia). Camier apparently fell first, then Torres, who was following him closely, was unable to avoid him and hit him. Savadori, for his part, hit the Honda on the ground. The race was immediately stopped at the red flag because Leon's condition was worrying.

First, Camier was transported to the medical center where he was assisted by the Mobile Clinic staff. As there was a risk of significant internal damage, the Briton was then transferred for more complete examinations to Alcaniz hospital.

According to a press release released early Saturday evening by his team Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team, Leon is in stable condition. He is conscious.

Posterior fractures (on the back) of ribs 9, 10 and 11 were diagnosed. This caused a pulmonary contusion on the left side, which is never very reassuring.

In about three days we will have a much more precise idea of his condition, which we will not fail to communicate to you.

We join Loris Baz who declared “ I wish Leon Camier the best, the fall was terrible and I hope he is doing well. »
