Dominique Aegerter

Dominique Aegerter is in the midst of negotiations with the private Ducati Go Eleven team for a 2026 WorldSBK entry. But the project, as promising as it may be, depends on one key factor: finding a solid partner capable of making a six-figure financial contribution.

After the officialization of Stefano manzi at Giansanti Racing on July 29, the Swiss driver's future has suddenly darkened. After five seasons at Yamaha , he must now turn to new options. And there are not many of them: Honda factory, BMW factory, and above all Ducati Go Eleven.

The problem is that all private teams Ducati face colossal costs in 2026: €800 of investment planned for the arrival of the new Panigale V000R, with the obligation to start from scratch in terms of equipment. As a result, only pilots capable of providing financial support are welcome.

Kevin Aegerter, Domi's brother and manager, remains lucid: " his chances with Honda and BMW are very slim " he confided, explaining that several drivers already have priority with these manufacturers.

Dominique Aegerter doesn't want to pay to ride... but remains open

At almost 35 years old, Dominique Aegerter has always been clear: "I will not pay a dowry to a team. »

This does not prevent it from building an attractive project with Go Eleven : advertising spaces available on the suit, helmet, motorcycle, website and social media; VIP packages including catering, visits to the stands; not forgetting the multiple promotional spaces offered by the team on the motorcycle, trucks and in the reception area.

Kevin Aegerter insists on speedweek : " We also organize events like track days, sponsor dinners, and outings. We connect sponsors so they can collaborate. They get all of Domi's image rights, and he also enjoys giving talks or signing autographs at corporate events. »

He and his brother are banking on Domi's unique closeness to those around him:

« We have a very close relationship with our sponsors; many have been with us for many years; they are like friends and family. All partners are welcome, but it would be important to find a significant one in order to manage the budget with Go Eleven. »

If this Superbike project fails, agitated could return to WorldSSP, a category where he has already shone: 35 podiums and 27 victories in 44 races, with two world titles (2021 and 2022). Such a contract Supersport could also be accompanied by a commitment to Endurance or MotoE.

Popular for his availability to fans and sponsors, Domi remains a sure bet in the paddock. But his future now depends on an off-track signing: that of a partner willing to bet big on the duo. Aegerter – Ducati Go Eleven.
