Ducati has once again asserted its dominance in the World Championship FIM Supersport by securing its second consecutive manufacturers' title in 2024. This achievement is a testament to Ducati's continued excellence in the intermediate category of series-derived motorcycle racing..
Thanks to the victory of Yari Montella In Race 1, which took place this afternoon at the Estoril circuit, Ducati won its second Supersport constructors' world title, reaffirming once again its dominance at the top of international motorcycling competition.
It is a significant achievement for the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, which just a few weeks ago, at the end of September, celebrated its sixth MotoGP constructors' world title and is currently leading the Superbike championship standings.
This year's Supersport season saw the Ducati Panigale V2 triumph in no less than 18 races with three different riders. Adrian Huertas, Aruba.it Racing WSSP team driver and current world championship leader, has taken ten wins and seven pole positions in 2024. Yari Montella, a driver for the Barni Spark Racing team, has eight victories and is second in the standings, 36 points behind Huertas. Niki Tuuli, from the EAB Racing team, won his first race with Ducati at Magny-Cours, in France. In addition, 31 podiums have been obtained by the Borgo Panigale manufacturer in WorldSSP this year.
The second consecutive WorldSSP manufacturers' title represents a significant achievement for Ducati, which continues to accumulate successes thanks to the excellent work carried out by the Ducati Corse engineers and the close collaboration with its satellite teams in the category.
As Ducati celebrates its second consecutive WorldSSP manufacturers’ title, the achievement underlines the brand’s commitment to excellence and continued dominance in the world of motorcycle racing. Looking ahead, Ducati remains focused on maintaining its winning legacy in 2025.
Luigi Dall'Igna (General Manager of Ducati Corse): “We are happy and proud to celebrate our second WorldSSP Constructors’ title, a victory that follows our sixth MotoGP Constructors’ title at Misano at the end of September. This is another important milestone, which once again demonstrates the commitment and dedication of the men and women of Ducati Corse. Thanks to everyone, as well as to the teams and riders who helped bring the Panigale V2 to the top of the world.”
