After first victory for Scott Redding (ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati) yesterday in WSBK, which allowed him to take the lead in the championship, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team), Loris Baz (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) and Leon Haslam (Team HRC) responded this morning during the warmup preceding the Briton on the Andalusian track of Jerez de la Frontera.

Will this be enough to calm the Ducati rider or, on the contrary, will it overdrive an already very present motivation? Do you know the answer…

Scott Redding : " It's a big day for me: pole position and victory, I couldn't have done better. The race was very hard because of the temperature. At times I suffered a lot. I would like to thank the team for providing me with a motorcycle that performed very well. When did I start to suffer? Since I came out in the pit lane. These are extreme conditions and tomorrow it will be even more difficult. But it's a problem that all runners face. »

Under the watchful eye of Carmelo Ezpeleta, the 23 drivers will now compete over 10 laps for this intermediate Superpole race which only earns half the points of a normal race. 28° in the air and 42° on the asphalt at the time of grid.

When the red lights go out, Jonathan Rea does the holeshot in front of a Scott Redding who is then attacked by Toprak Razgatlioglu at the next turn. Next Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) and Loris Baz (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha).

Like yesterday during the first race, the first five drivers manage to escape slowly in a sort of little train which gradually lengthens...

This allows Jonathan Rhea to take your own pace and build up a lead of more than a second at the halfway point, when Scott Redding starts to put pressure on Toprak Razgatlioglu for second place.

The Briton will not have to force his Ducati, the Turkish rider having to retire due to a technical problem on the straight. An alert which follows the problem encountered by his teammate and which must be taken seriously by Iwata…

The race is thus heading towards an unsurprising finish with the 90th victory for the Northern Irishman, despite the last minute forcing of the championship leader.

Jonathan Rhea then takes second position in the championship, to the detriment of his teammate.

Loris Baz, very consistent and regular recently, occupies 6th place tied with Chaz Davies.

Meet at 14 p.m. for the final Superbike race of the weekend at Jerez.
