The WSBK will visit the MotorLand Aragon track this weekend and for the second time in a row. The Prosecco DOC Aragon Round hosted three thrilling races a week ago. As the fight for the Championship continues, there is no reason for boredom to be present at this Spanish deadline. To wait, here are 10 things to know…

Chaz Davies has accumulated 173 starts with Ducati. HAS 176, it will equal the absolute record of the Italian manufacturer held by Lucio Pedercini, who established it during the Phillip Island weekend in 2006.

After the first weekend in Aragon, Honda et Kawasaki are separated by only one podium: 337 for Honda, 336 for Kawasaki. Honda occupies second place in this ranking, behind Ducati (623)

Michael van Der Mark will make his 150th start in the first race of the second weekend of Aragon, tying the world champion Carlos Checa in 31st position in the all-time record.

In Portimao, Jonathan Rhea set a new benchmark by becoming the first driver to achieve 20 podiums at a single track. Its closest competitor is Troy Corser, with 16 podiums in Misano. Thanks to the double weekend in Aragon, he can build on his impressive track record on the Spanish track as he has already been on the podium 15 times at MotorLand Aragon, the last 14 times in a row since 2015.

In five of the last six races contested, Sale recorded five Grand Slams by winning from pole, posting five fastest race laps and leading from start to finish. His only small mistake was in the first Aragon race, where he started from pole, but he finished third behind the Ducatis and recorded the second fastest lap of the race.

Ducati and Kawasaki masters of the place

Sale led all 40 scheduled laps and won all four Superpole races this year; also counting 2019, his series extends to six.

In total, 80 Races have been run on Spanish soil until now. Aragon, with 22 races, will become the Spanish track with the most WorldSBK races, surpassing Valencia (22).

The last 16 races held at MotorLand Aragon have been won by only two manufacturers: Ducati (9 times) and Kawasakii (7). The series started in 2014. Before that year, they had not recorded a single victory in Aragon. Today, these are the two most successful manufacturers at MotorLand Aragon.

Jonathan Rhea stood on the podium in all 14 races contested for Kawasaki in Aragon.

Alone Chaz Davies managed to win by starting outside the top five at Aragon and he managed to do so twice: in race 2 in 2017 starting from 10th on the grid, and in 2018 in race 2 starting from 8th place.
