Loris Baz

Loris Baz is still hoping for a hypothetical signing with Ten Kate Racing, but if that doesn't happen he could be on his way to the United States of America and the AMA MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Axel Bassani having joined Motocorsa Racing, obtaining a place in the WSBK championship seems more and more compromised…

Recently, Loris Baz's name has been linked to a possible move to the Motocorsa team. However, the Frenchman and the Italian team were unable to agree on the terms of the contract and it is ultimately Axel Bassani who will be lined up behind the Ducati Panigale V4R of the Italian team.

Loris Baz, who has ridden for the Dutch team Ten Kate Racing Yamaha for the past two seasons, would like nothing more than to continue his collaboration with them. The team, facing financial difficulties, is working hard behind the scenes to complete the budget for the 2021 WSBK Championship season.

To date, Loris Baz cannot be sure of extending their collaboration, but still hopes that the situation will get better. However, if the Dutch team cannot field a motorcycle in Superbike, according to the site super7moto.com, Ducati wishes to rely on the services of Loris Baz, who could be offered an official Panigale V4R and an attractive salary on the other side of the Atlantic to compete for the first positions in the Superbike category of the MotoAmerica championship.

Nothing is official at the moment. It should be noted that last year, Lorenzo Zanetti, also ousted from the WSBK grid, joined the MotoAmerica Championship where he particularly shone at the end of the season, with six podiums in the last six races including one victory. He finished ninth in the Championship.
