6th round of a season which includes 12, the Most Autodrome is hosting the Superbike World Championship this weekend World SBK, this time with all its usual categories.
As mid-season approaches, Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) leads the championship with 241 points, having won a remarkable hat-trick at Donington Park and Misano. His impressive form puts him in a strong position as he aims to extend his lead and potentially reach the milestone of 50 WorldSBK victories.
The main opposition to the Turkish rider comes from the two Ducati officials, Nicholas Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), who follow spearhead BMW in the standings, with 200 and 186 points respectively. Alvaro Bautista only needs a podium to reach 100 points. alex lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK), with its two podiums at Donington Park, reduced the gap to third place to just 21 points. The Briton is only three podiums away from his best season in 2019 (9 podiums) and has already scored more points than the entirety of last season.
Past performances at Autodrom Most
In 2023, the Czech round saw three different winners over the weekend, with Alvaro Bautista, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) who each achieved a victory. Toprak Razgatlioglu, current championship leader, however, has the most victories at Most, with five victories since the circuit joined the WorldSBK calendar in 2021, making him the man to beat on this circuit. In addition, he holds the record for the most podiums in Most, with eight. This next race on the Czech circuit will mark his first participation at Most with BMW, after a long preparation since the German manufacturer carried out tests at the Autodrom Most with its test team in May.
Jonathan Rhea also performed very well at Most, achieving two pole positions in 2021 and 2022, while Toprak Razgatlioglu landed one in 2023. In addition, the debutant Nicholas Bulega took victories at Most in 2023 while competing in WorldSSP.
From all these factors, only one question emerges: Toprak Razgatlioglu will he once again succeed in making the Grand Slam in the Czech Republic, as in Italy and the United Kingdom?
