The WSBK launches in Most in its battle of ragpickers of the Superpole Race which is a sprint of ten laps where there is no question of procrastinating. Given the scenario of Race 1 on Saturday and its explosive finale, notably between Redding and Razgatlioglu, this close fight with the last round of the afternoon promises a lot. Exactly, here it is.
In passing, we will recall that the winner of the day before, Alvaro Bautista, wrote a page of history in the Czech Republic Ducati. The Spaniard indeed won his 23rd victory on Saturday, joining Raymond Roche in 11th place in history. It was his 7th success of the season and the first at Most, the 10th circuit in which he reached the highest step of the podium. He became the 5th most successful winner for Ducati with the above-mentioned Roche. The first four are: Carl Fogarty 55, Troy Bayliss 52, Chaz Davies 28, Doug Polen 26.
Baptist is only one victory away from the most successful Spaniard: Carlos Checa. Matching Checa would mean entering the top 10 winners in WorldSBK history. Baptist in Race 1 marked the 60th victory for Spain and posted the 1th podium for Ducati, the first manufacturer to achieve this objective. With 2 more wins, Spain will join Japan in 5th place all time. Exactly one tenth of the 1 podiums of Ducati were marked by one of their most emblematic pilots, Carl Fogarty (100).
But back to this sprint race in which the other Ducati rider Rinaldi, best time during warm up will also want to stand out…

Razgatlioglu is doing well with 5 laps to go ahead Sale. Baptist is not a danger, he is even threatened by his teammate Rinaldi. Redding is ninth. Ponsson abandoned.
There are three rounds left and Sale returned in the wake of the leading Yamaha. He even passes it without difficulty in preparation for the finish.
