Of course, we do not cover this championship, but that does not prevent us from having an eye on what is happening there, and that is why we would like to wish an excellent year 2017 to our representatives in WSBK, even if, unfortunately, there will no longer be any in the premier category of Superbike.

Whether it's the three musketeers at Yamaha, Lucas Mahias in WorldSSP, Florian Marino in Superstock 1000 and Enzo De La Vega in WorldSSP300, but also Jules Cluzel in Supersport or Jeremy Guarnoni et Maxime Cudeville in Superstock 1000, we will not fail to salute any meritorious performance on their part.

Let us also note theexcellent initiative from Yamaha with its R3 bLU cRU Challenge.
Whichever of the six Yamaha WorldSSP300 riders wins the Challenge will automatically earn a place in the official Yamaha WorldSSP team in 2018. Enough to seriously motivate Enzo De La Vega who is thus offered a chance to join Lucas Mahias in 2018.

But let's not anticipate and listen to the words of our Iwata representatives, all categories combined...

Lucas Mahias: “I want to do the best. I don't put pressure on myself either by telling myself that this is the chance of my life and that I absolutely have to perform well. A season is a long time, a lot of things can happen. I don't doubt my abilities. I can be in the Top 5 at the finish of all the races and win a lot of them. But once again, you never know what a motorcycle season is made of. ”

Florian Marino: “Clearly, the goal is to give the best of myself, to be the best Florian Marino possible. I managed to do so during my winter tests in 2016 until the start of the season... My goal is to return to this level. I aim to do full weekends and have no regrets. We will see my level compared to the others. I am optimistic and I know that I will fight at the front. With everything I have done to recover, I am confident.”

Enzo DeLaVega: “I think it will be a Championship with a very high level. My goal is first to progress as much as possible and to have the most fun. If I can get into the Top 10 in the first race, I think it would be a good start. Then, we will have to work, step by step, to move up the rankings.”
