Crescent, a Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki dealer in Verwood and Bournemouth in the United Kingdom, began racing motorcycles in 1936 on the Island of Guernsey. Edward “Ted” Denning gave way to the young and dynamic Paul, who represented Suzuki from 1996 to 2015, including in MotoGP from 2005. Since 2016, Paul Denning has coordinated Yamaha's efforts on the ground in the World Championship Superbike, led by Andrea Dosoli under the orders ofEric de Seynes.

Denning can count on the Dutchman as a pillar of the team Michael “Mickey” van der Mark. “Michael has been with us since 2017, he has progressed little by little each year, but he has really grown this season as the de facto leader of the team thanks to his motorcycle experience. We are very happy with the way Mickey has made this transition, but also with the way he has welcomed Toprak to the team,” Denning told Worldsbk.com.

“There is a very positive atmosphere there with sharing of information and views to take next steps and make small improvements. I didn't really know Toprak before he joined the team, but he has a very good character, he is very respectful, he recognizes the efforts of everyone in the team and in the project, but he also has a sense quite discreet humor, but at the same time quite twisting. And it's great that he and Mickey get along well. »

New to the team, Toprak Razgatlioglu seduced everyone with his behavior. “Honestly, from the first test it was a lot easier and more relaxed. We try to help him progress, whether it's physical preparation or his organization, having the right equipment in the right place. It was a pleasure working with him on that side, but honestly, his integration into the team was super easy and I think he was very surprised by how open and pleasant everyone was. to live. »

“The chief mechanics and engineers analyze the recorded data and examine everything we can do to the settings and performance of the bike. We had time to study data from winter testing and Phillip Island to determine future improvements.

“In terms of the actual work, the bikes were delivered from Phillip Island to the team workshop in the UK ten days after the race, shortly after Qatar was postponed. We put everything in place and shortly afterwards the UK Government announced a ban on non-essential activities and retail businesses. The motorcycles have since been stored, polished, prepared, but they have nowhere to go racing. »

“Yamaha's racing department in Italy has just partially opened. They were just able to start preparing materials this week, but despite this, it is still a very limited activity. Everyone has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we are in the best shape when we return to racing, but other than that there hasn't been much we have been able to do. »
