Jonathan Rea also dominates the sprint race and extends his winning streak in Portimão. Again, second is Toprak Razgatlioglu. Race 2 starts at 15:00 p.m.

Jonathan Rhea takes control of the Superbike. After dominating Race 1, the Kawasaki champion also beat his rivals in the Superpole race. It is his eleventh triumph at Portimão in twelve races, and the 92nd success of a career which is becoming more and more brilliant. Nothing to do for Toprak Razgatlioglu, who, like the day before, tried for a few laps, quickly realizing that on this track it is impossible to beat the Cannibal. We will see if the situation changes in race 2, which will start at 15 p.m.

The podium was completed by Loris Baz, with Ten Kate's Yamaha. Ducati in difficulty even over the short distance: Scott Redding finished in fifth place. The Briton is still the Superbike leader, but with just one point ahead of Jonathan Rhea, who went wild.

On the fourth lap, a crash in the hairpin bend between Chaz Davies et Eugene Laverty : the Ducati and BMW riders fell at low speed, without consequences. Chaz's race ended there, so nothing was collected by the Welshman after the electrical problem which slowed him down on Saturday.
