And this year, the competition promises to be tough. “In the winter, everyone starts from scratch, everyone is excited and everyone is aiming for the Championship. I know I can count on a great team and a competitive bike. I won five titles in different ways. I won by dominating, I won by a gap or, like last year, I won by recovering my deficit. Having experienced all of these scenarios helps me to be mentally prepared for the unexpected. »

If he does not chase numbers and records, he does not hide his desire to pass the milestone of 100 victories in order to leave a new indelible mark in the world of Superbike. “I love running, working with my team, traveling the world with my family. The goal remains the same: continue to win. I'm not aiming for numbers, but if we look at the statistics, it would be nice to get the magic number of 100 wins this season. In terms of races I exceeded all my expectations, but I want to continue winning and learning. »
