She was already a world champion and was fighting for the title again when a bad fall during private testing on September 10 at the Estoril track in Portugal fractured and displaced her T4 and T6 vertebrae.
She was transferred the next day to Barcelona to be operated on at the Dexeus clinic by Dr Ubierna, specialist in spinal trauma, and his team, where everything went well.
Despite a major intervention as shown by the scar, Ana Carrasco never lost her smile and her humor during this difficult ordeal, before undertaking a long rehabilitation which will keep her away from the circuits for several months.
Only one word comes to mind, forcefully and clearly: respect !
Ana Carrasco : “They say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... Well here we are, with the desire to come back stronger than ever! »
Say that when you don't have anything to do with you, you're more powerful... ¡pues aquí estamos, con ganas de volver más fuertes que nunca!😄💪🏻
