At the end of the tests in Jerez and Aragón, Jonathan Rea shared on the official website WorldSBK.com a first assessment of the developments made to the Kawasaki ZX–10 RR for the 2021 season.

This has an engine whose maximum speed has been increased, as well as a new fairing providing more support on the front axle.

Jonathan Rhea : “Of course the feeling about the engine is very different and I'm exploring all that. He is still very young and we are moving forward step by step, on the test bench or on the track, to understand him better. As for the aerodynamics, it's very simple: they say it brings 17% more downforce and I can really feel it, especially with the front contact in the fastest corners, where It runs a little better and faster. And of course it helps when it comes to wheelies during really hard acceleration. This doesn't harm top speed at all, and here in Aragón it was overall better than with the previous 2020 model. So it’s a very good job on Kawasaki’s part! »

A faster bike with more downforce... This is not at all good news for the Cannibal's opponents!
