Philipp Öttl collects the legacy left by Chaz Davies on the Ducati Panigale V4-RS of Team Go Eleven, starting in the 2022 season!

After two excellent seasons in the Supersport World Championship, the entry category of WorldSBK, where he obtained eleven podiums and finished the 2020 season in third place in the general classification aboard the Kawasaki ZX-6R, the young man of 25 years old is ready to make the jump to the highest category. Öttl, who despite his young age has great experience in Moto3 and one year in Moto2, immediately showed a great desire to get into the saddle, to work on himself to adapt his riding style to the Ducati V4-RS, as well as only great determination to start this adventure with the Italian team. Between the parties there is a two-year basic agreement, for the 2022 and 2023 WorldSBK seasons, so that Philipp can have time to adapt to the new category. The common objective will be to progress round by round, to improve the feeling and the sensations on the bike in each session. From Supersport to Superbike, the difference is big, but Team Go Eleven will give full support and provide everything necessary to achieve the desired results in the shortest possible time!

Focus remains high to finish the 2021 season with a strong weekend in Indonesia, looking to pay tribute to Chaz's extraordinary career with an unforgettable final round.

The team and all the technical staff can't wait to be on track for the first tests of the season, to see Philipp in action on the Ducati Panigale V4-RS, and to start working for next season!

WELCOME PHILIPP!

Philipp Ottl (Pilot) :
« I am very happy that after two successful seasons in the WorldSupersport championship, I can make the step to WorldSBK with Go Eleven! I hope I can learn quickly, because I think it is possible with a good group of people, and with Go Eleven I have all the possibilities to achieve good results. From the outside, Go Eleven was the team I wanted, almost since the 2022 deals started. I can't wait to start this experience on a big bike, learn as much as possible, start next season and improve myself lap after lap. I'm happy to ride the Ducati, it's a great manufacturer and I really wanted this opportunity in Superbike, especially considering Ducati's successful past! »

Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager):
« Philipp has achieved very good results in the last two seasons in Supersport, he is young and already has experience in Moto2 and Moto3, then, after meeting him personally, he left an excellent impression on me. He is a very determined rider and he already has a good working method, certainly passed on by his father Peter, a great protagonist of past motorcycling; it is certainly an added value, which will help him and us. This project excites me a lot, it's certainly an incredible challenge, I can't wait to see it on our V4-RS, and start working with it. At Go Eleven we are all happy to have him with us, it reflects a bit of our philosophy, to believe in young people and give them the opportunity to show their potential in the main category. Philipp has amply demonstrated that he deserves the top category of World Superbike!
Welcome to the Go Eleven family, Philipp! »

Giovanni Ramello (team owner):
« Team Go Eleven, with the arrival of Öttl, finds its way and its DNA, a young driver and a program over several years which will allow us to progress together and try to obtain good results. I have always followed Öttl's performances since he was in Supersport and I must say that several times he impressed me positively with his guts, his driving style and the strong competitiveness that he always put into each race, despite a bike that is no longer up to par compared to those of its competitors. We will try to do everything possible to maintain the high level of performance of the bike and to be able to demonstrate our skills. We must go shopping with the Go Eleven spirit, professionalism but also moments of pleasure. I am convinced that Öttl, without any particular pressure, will be able to make us appreciate his skills and excite us in each race, also taking advantage of the great experience acquired over the years, despite his young age. I wish him to finish the Supersport World Championship with excellent results and I can't wait to get back to work for 2022! »
