BMW Motorrad Motorsport will compete in the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship (World SBK) with the only ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team and drivers Toprak Razgatlioglu (TUR) and Michael van der Mark (NED). The objective is to continue the path to the summit.

“We are very happy to have Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark, two leading riders, in our factory team for the 2025 Superbike World Championship”, said Marc Bongers, sporting director of BMW Motorrad Motorsport. “Both have proven in recent years that they are among the best and will form a powerful duo on our BMW M 1000 RR next season. »

Michael Van der Mark will begin his fifth season as a BMW Motorrad Motorsport WorldSBK rider in 2025, while Toprak Razgatlioglu has been part of the BMW Motorrad Motorsport family since the current 2024 season.

van der mark said : “I am very, very happy and honored to continue with BMW. I am very happy that after two difficult years they continue to trust me and I think this year's results show improvements. I am very happy with the way the team works, how the BMW M 1000 RR performs and how we continue to improve it. So it’s fantastic to be able to stay. It also gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season. I'm ready to continue our momentum and be even more ready for next year. »

But, after several years with two teams, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team will be the only BMW Motorrad Motorsport factory team in WorldSBK. Jürgen Roder, owner of the Bonovo action BMW Racing Team, will not continue his involvement in WorldSBK for personal reasons.

Jürgen Roder Explain : “I will be withdrawing for personal reasons from 2025 and, as a result, Bonovo action will be withdrawing as a BMW factory team. I would like to personally thank all the fans who have remained loyal to us, who have shared our joys and our difficulties. Many thanks, because without the enthusiasm of spectators and fans, such an endeavor would not be possible. You are carried by the euphoria and enthusiasm that I have experienced in recent years, whether at the IDM or the world championship. It is a wonderful feeling to bring joy to others with our pilots and provide them with entertainment and happy moments.
I would also like to thank our entire team, under the leadership of our team manager Michael Galinski, who has always done an excellent job. We hope we can make even more of an impact this year. We are doing everything we can to move forward, and we hope that we can still show some signs of life on our side this year. I also thank BMW. BMW has always been a loyal and very reliable partner, supporting us in all areas. Even this year, we receive the same parts as our colleagues at SMR, which allows us to be well equipped. My most sincere thanks therefore go to BMW and in particular to Marc Bongers for the support he has given us over these years. He has been with us through the ups and downs, motivating us through the lows and looking forward with us. I think we cannot appreciate this at its true value. I would also like to thank our sponsors for their loyalty and unwavering support over the past few years. I wish all the teams in the WorldSBK paddock the best for the future, safe driving, which is the most important thing, and of course lots of success for everyone. »

“We regret Jürgen Röder's decision not to continue his involvement in WorldSBK, but we understand it at the same time”, said Marc Bongers. “We would like to thank the entire Bonovo Action BMW Racing Team, Jürgen Röder and team manager Michael Galinski, who led the team with great passion and dedication, the drivers, technicians and mechanics, as well as all the others parties involved, for the excellent and professional collaboration over recent years. Now we will continue to give everything together, in order to succeed and get good results in the remaining races of this season.”

Will BMW take advantage of this reduction in its workforce to look even more intensely into another, more prestigious category?
