The Turkish champion Toprak Razgatlioglu leaves no chance in race 2 of the Superbikes at Balaton Park: he now scores his third consecutive hat-trick. Nicholas Bulega comes back, but the gap is significant: Ducati, goodbye to the World Championship?

The uncertainty lasted for half a lap, and then the final Superbike race in Hungary was also reduced to nothing. Toprak Razgatlioglu practices a different sport; with BMW back in the top gear we admired last year, he makes an embarrassing difference for everyone. We all wonder what he'll do next year in MotoGP with Yamaha Pramac, but that's just speculation; there will be time to appease our curiosity. The present, on the other hand, is a continuous succession of linear victories: no battles, rationed overtaking. Those who thought that the new Balaton Park, without any reference points, could change things were disappointed. Even the wet conditions of the morning's Superpole race didn't change the trend. Toprak simply wins, always the same, unstoppable. He now has three consecutive hat-tricks, for a total of 72 career victories. At this rate, a third world championship title is inevitable. Is Ducati already out of the race?

Bulega saves the balance sheet
In the Sprint Race, Nicolò made a tire mistake, depriving him of points and finding himself on the fourth row of the grid. But he then battled back brilliantly to climb back to second place. The best possible result at this stage of the season. In the opening rounds, the battle between Bulega and Toprak was very heated, but it is now over. There are still four rounds to go, with 37 points each. To say that this World Championship is already in jeopardy is a bit of an exaggeration at the moment, but it is clear that Nic and Ducati's enthusiasm is fading a little.

Petrux solid, Bautista falls
Alvarito made a very aggressive start and overtook the Turkish driver for half a lap. Losing sight of the German spacecraft, Bautista remained in a fight with a resurgent and tenacious Bulega.
Sam Lowes, until contact with a kerb sent him close to the wall: the game was over. The exit of the second factory Panigale opened the way for the excellent Sam, who this time made no mistakes, giving Marc VDS the honorable place of best independent team of the day. Despite his fairing hanging, Lowes held firm against
Danilo Petrucci, who is waiting to replace Toprak on this dream BMW. An important new arrival for
Andrea Locatelli, once again the only bulwark against a Yamaha which is slowly reducing the gap.

Superbikes are on vacation, but we'll talk about it again in September.
The World Championship will be suspended from September 5th to 7th for the eighth of twelve rounds, which will take place at Magny-Cours, France. It is another of the magical circuits of
Toprak Razgatlioglu, the current championship leader, who secured his first world championship victory there, back when he was riding for the Kawasaki satellite team. After the French Superbike round, the championship will stop in Aragon (Spain) and Estoril (Portugal), with the grand finale on October 17-19 in Jerez, Andalusia. Each round is worth 37 points, so the standings remain wide open.
