Bautista is excited about the dual success of Motorland, where he also learned something important for the future.

About Matteo Bellan de Motoracing

Saturday to forget, but Sunday to remember for Álvaro Bautista in Aragon. He made amends by winning the Superpole Race and Race 2. The Superbike champion reacted to the mistakes made in the first round and increased his lead over Toprak Razgatlioglu at 47 points. There are two rounds left before the end of the championship and he must now manage the situation well, avoiding mistakes.

Baptist presented himself smiling to the media: “ I am happy to have won two victories on Sunday, this has not happened since the Misano round. Especially because I did a reset compared to Saturday, based on the feeling I had with the bike. During the warm-up I felt very good, the Superpole Race was fantastic with me, Johnny and Toprak, we had a good race and the level was very high. The pace was fast, I finally managed to overtake on the last lap. I felt like I could win, I tried without thinking about anything. I did my best and I'm happy ».

Alvaro Bautista: “ we can't make any more mistakes »

If in the Superpole Race he beat Jonathan Rea et Toprak Razgatlioglu on the last lap, in Race 2 he won by a margin. Alvaro is very satisfied: “ In the afternoon the conditions were difficult due to the high temperature and it was not easy for the performance and durability of the tires. From the first lap I felt the rear slipping, I didn't have good traction and for this reason I tried not to attack too much. Halfway through the race, there was a drop in the front, but I managed to put some distance on my rivals. I'm happy, in two different races we managed to be competitive and fight to win. We have to keep working, we can't make any more mistakes ».

The driver of the Aruba Racing team Ducati insists that he doesn't think about the ranking and admits to having learned an important lesson in Aragon: " I don't think about points and the championship. I try to do my best and win. This weekend is very important for me, because I learned that you need more humility in certain situations. I have to stay focused and not relax, keeping the same level regardless of how I feel on the track. I must not make mistakes, I will try to use the lessons from this weekend for the future ».

This next weekend we will race at Portimao, a track where in 2022 he obtained two second places and a victory. Razgatlioglu et Sale will give everything to get ahead of him, especially Toprak who still has a chance to get his hands on the Superbike title. The pressure will be mainly on the Turk, while Baptist will have to manage.
