WSBK Superbike: Dean Berta Viñales has left us

The cousin of Maverick Viñales who raced in his father's team in Supersport 300 succumbed to his injuries contracted during a collective fall in the first race of the category.

Dean Berta Viñales of Team Vinales Racing died after the serious incident that occurred during race 1 of the WordlSSP300 during the Spanish round organized on the circuit of Jerez -Angel Nieto.

Dean Berta Vinales was involved in an accident with several drivers at turn 1, and the race was immediately stopped with the red flag. The pilot suffered serious head and chest injuries. Medical vehicles immediately arrived at the point of the accident and treated the driver on the side of the track before transferring him to the circuit Medical Center, which announced this dramatic news. After the accident, the rest of the activity planned for Saturday at the Jerez track was canceled.
