The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team presented its team for the 2023 season on Sunday, February 5 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, during an evening in the luxurious setting of Ruote Da Sogno.
Tom Sykes et Can Öncü will be the riders of the Italian team equipped with Kawasaki, in WorldSBK and WorldSSP respectively.
This presentation was also an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Puccetti – Kawasaki association.
Tom Sykes: « The presentation was fantastic, in true Italian style. Great location, great people and great food. Everything was perfectly organized and I congratulate Manuel and his team. It was nice to meet our sponsors and I appreciated that they were really close to us and followed us with passion. My first objective during winter testing was to settle in and get to know the team. It definitely worked, because I feel very comfortable with them and that's also why the tests went well. There is still work to do, but we have laid the foundations for a good season. I am confident in the preparation for the first round at Philip Island. »
Can Öncü: « It was a great party, the perfect way to start the 2023 season. We have a lot of supporters and it's a real boost for us. I would like to say a big thank you to Manuel and his team for organizing such a wonderful evening. The winter tests went well and I had a lot of fun. I feel ready to race and I think we have everything to have a great season. »

I was happy to meet all the team's sponsors and supporters and introduce them to our riders and technicians, whom I would like to thank for their hard work over the winter. In Supersport, our goal is to go for the title with Can Öncü and help him achieve his first race victory. In Superbike we will do our best to exploit the considerable skills of Tom Sykes. We are now all focused on the season opener in Australia. »
