The FIM has published the provisional list of riders entered in the Superbike World Championship for the 2024 campaign, a year in which there will be one rider less on the grid. We are in fact going from 24 to 23 members, since the Pedercini Racing Team is no longer active, but this situation also reveals the absence of Loris Baz who will therefore not have recovered from having lost his BMW handlebars within the Bonovo team.

Loris Baz may have declared at the end of the last season of WSBK that he totally relied on his manager Eric Mahe, the latter did not work a miracle to find him a place on the starting grid which would have allowed him to continue his journey in the category reserved for motorcycles from the series. For the French side of the field, we will have to rely on the Yamaha R1 of GMT94 which will line up the German Phillip Oettl. Otherwise, Italy and Great Britain will be the countries with the highest number of registered drivers, i.e. six each, followed by Spain (4), Switzerland (1), Australia (1), Turkey (1), Netherlands (1), Malaysia (1), United States -United States (1) and Germany (1).

No Superbike for the French, but two will be on Yamaha in Supersport

France is Fanny in this concert where the new features will be a Jonathan Rea at Yamaha, a Toprak Razgatlioglu at BMW, a Axel Bassani at Kawasaki or even the WSS World Champion Open up promoted to teammateAlvaro Bautista, weighed down by seven kilos, at Ducati. We will also not fail to highlight the return to competition ofAndrea Iannone and the arrival of Sam Lowes like Marc VDS colors in the paddock, all on Ducatis.

By brands, Ducati and Yamaha are tied with six motorcycles. BMW will have four units of the M1000RR on the track, as Honda, while Kawasaki will be the least represented factory by deploying only three Ninja ZX-10RRs on the 2024 WorldSBK grid.

To find French drivers, you will have to look at the WSS Supersport which has also formalized its participants. Lucas Mahias within the GMT94 and Valentin Debise at Evan Bros will both defend the Yamaha coat of arms on R6s.
