Team GMT94 Yamaha is present in Spain for an Iberian tour of private tests on the Jerez de la Frontera and Portimão tracks which will take place from January 24 to 30.

Lucas Mahias (Yamaha R6 number 94) and Philipp Ottl (Yamaha R1 number 5), the 2024 drivers of the French structure of Christophe Guyot were able to train this winter on their training bikes, but were impatient to get back to their team and their racing bike.

After promising first tests in Aragon last November, Lucas Mahias undertook to fine-tune the settings of his Yamaha R6 from the Val de Marnais team, finishing the two days of testing in 8th position in the Supersport, 1,2 seconds behind Stefano manzi after 129 laps of the Andalusian route.

From his side Philipp Ottl completed 138 laps on the handlebars of his Yamaha R1 Superbike to conclude this first contact in 12th position, also 1,2 seconds behind the fastest, Nicholas Bulega. The second day confirmed that the German driver and his team were working in the right direction with a time at the end of the morning which placed him at the top of the timesheet. Driver number 5 finishes these tests 3 tenths from the top 5, a good omen before the private tests in Portimao scheduled for next week.

Before the next meeting on the Portimão circuit next week, GMT94 now invites you to share the details of its adventure, live from Jerez!
