The first Superbike tests of 2024 are fast approaching and will take place in Jerez de la Frontera on January 23-24. The teams and drivers are preparing to begin the work that will prepare them for the championship. Among the drivers present we will find Alvaro Bautista, the double reigning world champion, as well as many other protagonists such as Razgatlioglu, Rea and many others.

The teams Ducati will be in full force, with Aruba Racing Ducati working on improving the Panigale V4 R. The independent teams Ducati will also be present, including Motocorsa, Barni Spark, Go Eleven and Marc VDS. Jonathan Rhea will also be in action with the Yamaha R1, looking to establish a good foundation for the 2024 Superbike World Championship. His first impressions have been positive and there is now work to continue. Him and his teammate Andrea Locatelli will have several new features to try over the two days.

All the elite of WSBK will be gathered in Jerez

Private teams Yamaha , like the men of Kawasaki and the clan BMW will also be present, with their respective riders working on the development of their bikes. The Bavarian brand will also field the test team, with Bradley Smith et Sylvain Guintoli ready to make their contribution to development. Finally, Honda will not miss the call, with Iker Lecuona, Xavi Verge et Stefan bradl testing the new CBR1000RR. Speaking of Honda, the tester Stefan bradl will also ride with the RC231V MotoGP.

These tests will be crucial to accumulate data and best prepare for the season WSBK future. After the tests in Andalusia, there will be one at Portimao (January 29-30) and one to Phillip Island (February 19-20), where we will then start the races. Given the significant changes made to regulations, particularly in terms of definition of minimum weight, it will be essential to cover as many kilometers as possible and to have a large amount of data.
