Loris Baz

It has now been a few races since Loris Baz no longer appears to be the best of the four riders equipped with an M1000RR. The Frenchman is also starting to regret more and more falls but he demonstrated at Donington last weekend, in the presence of his manager Eric Mahé, that it was more of a bad patch than a problem of pure velocity. Indeed, despite a failed qualification due to a fall, the Bonovo team driver made a point of ranking in the top 10. Driven by a good spirit, he did not shy away from his pleasure of see an M1000RR brighten up this hot English weekend with a podium with stage local Scott Redding. Because it confirms: the Munich sportswoman has made big progress…

And in fact, with this progress, mainly attributed to the new Kalex oscillating bass, opportunities to shine will present themselves for Loris Baz who comments on his weekend in England: “ I had to fight in all three races » begins the tricolor. “ I lost a little confidence in myself after my mistake in Superpole, but I was able to take ninth place three times. I also got a better grid position for the second race. It wasn't a great weekend for me. To be honest, I expected more, especially after Friday. I can be fast on a lap, but I'm not fast enough in terms of pace at the moment. We must find out why ».

As a reminder, Baz finished second in practice 2 on Friday. The outcome was less favorable. HAS Donington Park, he saw the distinguished colleague Scott Redding finishing 4th, 3rd and 5th in the colors of the British team SMR. Loris Baz, for the German team Bonovo, settled for three ninth places. However, the 29-year-old driver started from a 14th position in Superpole after a fall which then caused him shoulder pain.
