The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is ready to host the Pirelli Emilia Romagna round, the fourth event of the 2024 season of World SBK Superbike. It is a highly anticipated weekend for the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, the riders and the many Ducatisti fans who will populate the circuit, since Alvaro Bautista arrives at the top of the championship, while Nicolò Bulega and Michele Pirro (Wild Card) will play at home.

After the first three events of the season, the reigning World Champion Alvaro Bautista leads the championship standings with 6 points ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu (BMW) and 14 points on his teammate Nicholas Bulega. It will be a particularly exciting weekend for the rider born in 1999 in Montecchio dell'Emilia, who won the Supersport World Championship last season and has enjoyed an exciting start to the season on the Ducati Panigale V4R.

In addition, a significant novelty is the participation of Michele Pirro at the Pirelli Emilia Romagna Round on the handlebars of the official Ducati Panigale V4R. After defending the colors of Aruba.it Racing in MotoGP for the last two years as a Wild Card over five rounds, the rider from San Giovanni Rotondo will now race with the livery of the machines of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team.

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #1)
“A lot of time has passed since the last race, and for this reason there is a great desire to return to the track, especially at Misano, the national GP for Ducati, with many fans coming to see us. I really like the circuit, it's very pleasant to drive, and in the past we have achieved excellent results. We collected important data during the last tests, and for this reason I am confident that we will be able to find a good setup from tomorrow that will allow me to enjoy and ride the bike the way I like it. My goal and that of the team is to focus on ourselves to achieve the best performance, then we will take stock of the situation. »

Nicholas Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati n°11)
“It’s very nice to be in Misano. As the weekend approaches, the excitement builds. I am very motivated and happy to race under these colors: we are an Italian team on an Italian bike, and I am an Italian rider. It's the home race and the atmosphere will be fantastic. Many friends will come to see me and many fans will cheer us on. I will do my best to do great races.

Michele Pirro (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati n°51)
“I am happy to return to the World Superbike Championship after several years. It's a new challenge with a lot of different factors compared to MotoGP, and I'm happy to represent Aruba.it Racing – Ducati since we couldn't race at Mugello with the Desmosedici GP this year. For this reason, I am looking forward to taking to the track with the Panigale V4R alongside Alvaro Bautista and Nicolò Bulega to defend the same colors. I thank Ducati and Stefano Cecconi for this opportunity and I can say that, although I am not very young anymore, the excitement and determination to face a challenge of this level is still very high. »
