As soon as the race was over, the leading trio of the last WE race in Misano – Bautista, Razgatlioglu and Rinaldi – went in front of the microphone of WorldSBK.com in order to recount their confidences after the race!

In parc ferme, Alvaro Bautista declared that he was not feeling very well this Sunday morning and that he was competitive again after taking a step back from the settings of his Panigale V4 R: “This morning I didn't feel very good on the bike, because we made a small change in the Superpole [race]. It didn't work, so we went back to our standard setup for the afternoon and I felt really good on the bike. I'm so happy to have another victory. It was a lot of fun at the beginning with Jonathan [Rea] and Toprak [Razgatlioglu] fighting, but then I saw that my pace could be similar to yesterday; the track conditions were very similar. I tried to lead, to set my pace, and the distance to Toprak increased as the laps went by. I'm very happy to win here in Misano in front of these Ducati fans and thank you to my team, Ducati, because it was an incredible weekend. Thank you and we will continue like this.”

The reigning champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, could do nothing to prevent Álvaro Bautista from winning another race this season. The Turk had to settle for second place on Sunday in Misano. At the end of the race, the Yamaha rider was satisfied with his performance: “Today's bike was much better than yesterday. The rear traction was much better and I was able to feel better when using engine braking. It was very hot in the afternoon. I tried everything but I'm happy with second position because I will get back on the podium. I tried to win the race but Álvaro [Bautista] was very fast, especially on the straights. In some areas I was faster, in others it was him. Anyway, I'm happy with the race. »

As for Michael Ruben Rinaldi, it was a special race at Misano this Sunday in front of his supporters. The driver is from the region and achieved a memorable third podium. At the end of the race, the Italian explained that he had given everything on the track: “I'm very happy with my race after this morning everything didn't go well for me. I forced the pace like I had never done before in my life. In the middle of the race I felt completely destroyed but I told myself that I was on the podium and that I had to push even harder. Thanks to all the fans, the team and the Ducati family. »
