Pirelli's development work continues at the sixth round of WorldSBK: on the Czech circuit, one of the most demanding for tires, a new SC0 soft rear makes its debut while the SCX will replace the SCQ at this event .

TIRE OPTIONS FOR THIS CIRCUIT
Pirelli is continuing the development program planned this year at Most (Czech Republic), a circuit which is preparing to host, for the second time in its history, the FIM Superbike World Championship. Despite some modernization work carried out during the off-season, the circuit remains among the most demanding for tires due to its configuration, and the partial resurfacing represents an additional unknown. For this reason, and based on the data collected last year, Pirelli decided to opt for a somewhat different tire allocation.

For the front, three solutions are available to WorldSBK riders, all in soft rubber: in addition to the standard SC1 and the already well-known development SC1 A0674, the development SC1 A0843, previously used only at Assen, is also back on the scene and could prove particularly effective in Most.
For the rear, there are two solutions in SC0 compound, one standard and the other, B0624, development. The latter differs from the range option because it uses a different rubber and structure. Due to the specific characteristics of the track, SCQ is not present at Most: in its place, for the Superpole and the Superpole Race, drivers will be able to use the SCX compound.

While only offering high-end solutions, the distribution of WorldSSP also tends towards more cautious choices: SC1 and SC2 confirmed at the front, while at the rear the SC0 will be the softer option, flanked by the SC1.

During the winter, the Most autodrome, inaugurated in 1983, underwent several works, including new asphalt in certain sections, notably the finishing straight and the first chicane. Many improvements have been made to make the circuit safer in the event of rain, firstly a new drainage system linked to the resurfacing. The loopholes and gravel sections present in certain bends have also been modified with their extension, thanks to the use of 5500 tonnes of gravel and thousands of tonnes of earth. New timing stations and 27 cameras with 4K resolution equipped with wipers and rotation capability were also installed to monitor the track. Finally, the circuit control tower was rebuilt and enlarged.

George Barbier, Director of the motorcycle competition: “ After the development activity carried out in Misano on the rear SCX, in Most our efforts will focus on the SC0 which will be present in a new specification alongside that of the range. This is the second year we are racing here, so compared to last season we have a series of recent data on which we can base our choice of compounds. Of course, following the work carried out during the winter, some characteristics of the circuit may have been modified, but it is still a particularly demanding track on the tires due to its configuration, and the new asphalt will probably be more aggressive . For all these reasons, we decided to focus on solutions that are still soft but robust enough to face the pitfalls. For the same reason, we decided not to take the extrasoft SCQ but to let the SCX act as a qualifying tire and, eventually, for the Superpole Race. »
