After two falls, Jonathan Rea returns to success and reopens the world championship: -24 points on Toprak Razgatlioglu who fell due to a technical problem. Double Ducati podium.

Jonathan Rhea seemed to be on the mat after the blows delivered by Toprak Razgatlioğlu and two violent falls in the space of a few hours. Instead, in the toughest of times, the Northern Irishman returned to success, sensationally reopening the championship that the Turk seemed to have already sealed. The Kawasaki, clearly inferior to Yamaha and Ducati, came back to life thanks to a stroke of luck: Toprak in fact flew away due to the detachment of part of the front, which sent it out of the the trail to the exact location that had betrayed his adversary the day before. This championship is an exciting novel: The two final stages in Argentina and Indonesia are a wonderful puzzle.

The perfect race
The reigning champion finally managed to run the perfect race, the one he would have wanted to run the day before. Getting rid of the Yamaha and Ducati, who were significantly faster on the straights, was magical: On Saturday, he had dared to do it too much, reducing his breakaway to smoke. This time he took the same risk, but stayed on his feet: when Toprak flew away, Rea was a few tenths of a second ahead. It wasn't a big margin, the Yamaha could have come back. The showdown between the two is postponed for two weeks.

Ducati returns to the charge
Scott Redding could not hold the wheel of the Kawasaki (“ It was beyond my limits") but Yamaha's zero puts him back in the race: -54 points, that's a lot to make up for in two rounds (124 points in total) and with two bones so hard to swallow in front of him. But in such a crazy championship, you should never say never.
The Ducati also gave wings to Loris Baz, with his third consecutive podium during this exciting weekend: Outside of MotoAmerica, a rider of this stature undoubtedly deserves a place in the world championship!

In a fortnight, in Argentina
In two weeks (October 16-17), Superbike will be on stage in San Juan, Argentina. The event is confirmed, but there is concern in the paddock in light of the latest news: State borders are almost closed and airlines have canceled almost all flights. Including those that had been reserved by the teams. La Dorna is trying to sort things out by organizing charter flights from Madrid which would bring the entire caravan (pilots, technicians, TV structure) directly to San Juan. There, these same personnel would only be authorized to travel from hotels to the circuit, in vehicles provided by the organization. The following month (November 19-20), Superbike is scheduled to take place in Mandalika, on the Indonesian island of Lombok.
