Lucas Mahias arrived in the Netherlands as the World Championship leader with a total of 58 points, ahead of Sandro Cortese with 54 and Randy Krummenacher with 50. Jules Cluzel was in sixth position with 25 points.

In the absence of Kean Sofuoglu, injured in the pelvis, his replacement, the South African Sheridan Morais, started as favorite for Superpole 1 to qualify among the two men transferred directly for the rest of the events.

Morais actually qualified, along with Briton Kyle Smith.

Twelve drivers took to the track to determine positions on the first rows of the starting grid. The first to set a fast time at the start of the session was Sandro Cortese in 1'38.408. He preceded Lucas Mahias and Raffaele de Rosa by 0.1.

Cortese accelerated to 1'38.368, now 0.124 ahead of Jules Cluzel. Lucas Mahias was in third position at 0.233. Randy Krummenacher was then in eleventh position.

In the last run, Luke Stapleford took the lead on his Triumph in 1'38.249. Then Sandro Cortese was ahead of him in 1'37.877. Lucas Mahias moved into second, 0.286 behind Cortese.

Finally, pole position went to Sandro Cortese ahead of Lucas Mahias, Raffaele de Rosa and Jules Cluzel.
