Dominique Aegerter signed his twelfth triumph, thus consolidating his lead in the world championship: With five races remaining, he is almost unbeatable.

Dominique Aegerter also gave no quarter to San Juan, Argentina. The tracks and conditions change, but it is always the Swiss driver who sets the tone in Supersport. The Yamaha lost its supremacy at the start of the season, but in the hands of the future GRT Superbike 2023 rider, it remains a deadly weapon. With his twelfth triumph (in nineteen races!), Dominique Aegerter climbs to +63 points in the world championship, also benefiting from the ninth place of his pursuer Lorenzo Baldassarri. With five races to go, it's hard to imagine how the Ten Kate driver could miss out on another world championship title, after the one he won a year ago. Dominique Aegerter will land in upper class on the red carpet.

De Rosa increases the diet
In this final stretch of the season, the Ducati Panigale V2 completely canceled the gap with the most competitive four-cylinder. Federico Caricasulo, in the first phase, then Raffaele De Rosa, in the second, tried to escape, hinting at the possibility of an entirely Italian epilogue. But when Dominique Aegerter decided it was time to leave, the curtain fell on the rivals. The verdict for Race 1 in Argentina was no different from previous events. Raffaele De Rosa et Federico Caricasulo however, complete the podium, during a day dominated by the same trio in Superpole as well, with Dominique Aegerter playing in front of everyone.

The Costs of Manzi's Mistake
A poor qualification cost the race Can Öncü, fourth after a good comeback. Stefano Manzi, who had a good start on his Triumph, also suffered. The MotoGP rider, however, paid dearly for a “lungo” mid-race, losing several positions: Seventh at the finish, twelve seconds behind the leading rider. Disappointment also for Baldassarri, who may have definitely lost the chance to keep the games open until the end.
