It is rare to see such gaps, but it was a reality during the first free practice of the Supersport on the Catalunya-Barcelona circuit: Already faster by 3 tenths of a second in the morning in front Lorenzo Baldassarri (Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team), Dominique Aegerter (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) finished this first day with a lead of more than a second over Nicholas Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WorldSSP Team) after improving his best time by 7 tenths between FP1 and FP2!

The championship leader also sets the new circuit record in 1'44.507, thus dethroning Manuel Gonzalez.

There is currently no real explanation for this impressive domination, especially as the Swiss driver has to deal with a total lack of experience in the Supersport category on the Spanish track.

Jules cluzel (GMT94 Yamaha) is sixth but already almost 1,3 seconds behind, Andy Verdoïa 16th after a difficult afternoon.

Rain is expected tomorrow, which could however redistribute the cards in Superpole.
