In the person of Stefano Manzi, it is a very experienced driver who will ride this weekend in Jerez under the colors of GMT94 to replace Andy Verdoïa injured in Barcelona.

The 22-year-old Italian has been racing in the intermediate category of Grands Prix since 2017, culminating in a pole position and 4th place at Valencia 2019 on the MV Agusta of the Forward Racing team.

Stefano manzi : " I'm excited to take part in the WorldSSP round in Jerez with the GMT94. This is one of the best teams in the championship. I'm looking forward to riding the Yamaha R6 in WorldSSP configuration, as I'm used to training on an R6 with a stock engine. There are some differences, but we can do good things with the GMT94. »

Christophe Guyot : " We are delighted to welcome Stefano to our team. He comes from Moto2 where he has already achieved some great achievements. He knows the Jerez circuit well, as well as the Yamaha R6. He really wants to join the team and take part in this event. It thus has all the ingredients to adapt to the Yamaha R6 of GMT94 which will carry the number 62. »
