As the Superbikes who have just completed their FP1, the weather is very good for the first run of the Supersport at Misano, 5th round of the season.

From the first laps, as expected, the championship leader Nicholas Bulega registered the reference in 1'38.594. Behind, Stefano manzi, a tenth behind his compatriot, tried to hang on, but the Ten Kate Yamaha rider ended up falling without seriousness.

At the end of the first quarter of an hour, Federico Caricasulo takes second place, 75/1000 behind the official Ducati rider.

Behind these three men, we find Yari Montella, Marcel Schrötter on the MV Agusta, then a gaggle of Yamahas led by Glenn van Straalen, Simone Corsi and Nicholas Spinelli.

Lucas Mahias is then 17th on the Kawasaki while Johan Gimbert, which replaces Valentine Debise ill, made his debut in 27th position on the Yamaha of GMT 94.

11 minutes before the checkered flag, while Jorge Navarro makes a minor mistake, it is Simone Corsi who takes the torch from the Yamaha to place his R6 34/100 behind the Aruba.it -Ducati rider.

Lucas Mahias climbed back to 14th position but seems to have a technical problem on his Kawasaki, or even a lack of fuel since we see him shaking his mount at the side of the track.

After a long stay in his box, it's the moment when Johan Gimbert gets back on track.

Up front, the positions have not changed and we are still witnessing overwhelming Italian domination with Nicolò Bulega, Simone Corsi, Federico Caricasulo, Stefano Manzi, Yari Montella and Marco Bussolotti in the first six places!

But against all odds and at the last minute, Yari Montella seizes second position then snatches the leadership in 1'38.229!
