The French driver was the fastest during the warm-up, ahead of Race 1 winner Dominique Aegerter and his teammate Federico Caricasulo.

The drivers in the Supersport category, like their Superbike counterparts a few moments before them, also had the right to one last outing in order to improve their sensations and the setup of their machines.

Philipp Öttl was the first to take the lead, before being quickly dethroned by the man who lost the championship reins yesterday, Steven Odendaal. After winning the first three races, the South African was in fact taken over by Dominique Aegerter, the Swiss who remains on two consecutive successes.

Podium objective for Cluzel

The latter was also in the lead there, before being dislodged by Jules Cluzel at the wire. The Frenchman, who was unable to finish on the podium yesterday, too busy countering the attacks of an untenable Manuel Gonzalez this weekend, thus presents the firm intention of integrating at least the top 3 during Race 2 scheduled for this afternoon.

For his teammate Federico Caricasulo, victim of a fall yesterday during the first event and lacking points in the championship, this warm-up is full of hopes given that the Italian finished third. He is ahead of Steven Odendaal, who will try in a few hours to prevent Aegerter from running away with the championship.
