Randy Krummenacher announced three weeks ago that his MV Agusta F3 would not be safe on the one hand and would not respect the technical regulations on the other hand. The World Champion submitted various documents to the FIM Technical Commission and requested clarification.

Now there is a first reaction: The three MV drivers Agusta Krummenacher, Raffaele De Rosa and Federico Fuligni were disqualified from the race in Australia because the engine seals were broken. This constitutes a violation of paragraph 2.3.10 of the regulations.

The FIM also came to the conclusion that the rule violation was done without intention and that the team had no advantage. It was a “visual mechanical verification and is the result of poor communication”, it was announced.

The team itself informed the FIM of this fault. However, according to the regulations, drivers must be disqualified from all races in which these engines were used. As so far only Australia has taken place, this only concerns Phillip Island.

It is particularly bitter for De Rosa, who finished second behind Andrea Locatelli. It also means that the Italian and his teammate Fuligni only have three engines instead of four for the rest of the season.
