A broken dream: Simone Courses had high hopes of participating in the World Supersport Championship and reaping some additional satisfaction at international level. After 355 Grand Prix in the world championship, he was hungry for new challenges, like he told Corsedimoto. He had found a good team, AltoGo, European Supersport champion in 2021 with Kevin Manfredi, but Dorna did not accept his registration. The team director, Giovanni Altomomonte, prefers not to speak for the moment but assures that he will do so soon. He had already been refused entry last year and this double refusal seems rather incomprehensible.

In the paddock, the team has a reputation for seriousness, has no financial problems and has excellent technical staff. With Simone Courses, it could have worked. He probably wouldn't have been able to aspire to the world title given the competition, but he could have aimed for the positions that count and perhaps a few podiums. During the test race, held at the Autodromo del Levante, the Roman driver showed himself very strong and all the prerequisites were met for a top-notch 2023 season.

Simone Courses trained with great intensity during the winter and continues to do so, despite the bitterness and uncertainties for the future. He doesn't really want to talk right now.

« I honestly don't know what say,” confessed Simone Courses to Corsedimoto, “ I'm disappointed ! I will not race in the World Supersport Championship and that was my goal for 2023. »

What are you going to do ?
« It is certain that I will do the Italian Supersport championship, that is the only certain thing at the moment. »

Will you also participate in international races?
« I don't know yet what I'm going to do, that's the reality. »
